One might say, I fell into photography.

As once an early education, nutrition and physical therapy major, I picked up a digital camera my sophomore year of college when asked to take prom pictures of my sister and remember joking with my parents, “I could do this for the rest of my life.”

Little did I know, God was revealing a desire in me, I didn’t know existed.

In 2013, I (finally) graduated from Western Kentucky University with a photojournalism and business administration degree, knowing I wanted to pursue my dream as a wedding photographer.

I love the moment when a father sees his daughter in her wedding dress and when the bride and groom are walking down the aisle after just being announced as husband and wife. I love classic bouquets filled with peonies. I’m fond of father daughter dances and have been known to get chocked up during speeches at the reception.

Growing up in Tennessee and Kentucky most of my life, I never thought God would bring my husband and me to North Carolina. When I’m not behind a camera, I love fixing up my old house, finding a good bargain to feed my endless desire to “nest,” running, hot coffee and romantic comedies.
