Founded in 1997, Northstone Country Club is nestled in Huntersville, just east of Lake Norman. Huntersville is located just north of Uptown Charlotte. A private country club, Northstone is home to some of the nicest staff, beautiful golf views and stunning landscape. Northstone was also the perfect place for Stephen and Kristen’s beautiful summer wedding!

When Kristen opted to check out a CrossFit class with her friend Amber, the first person she noticed in the class was Stephen. A coach at the time, Stephen, also noticed Kristen immediately. When Kristen attempted her first overhead squat, Stephen ran to assist Kristen, informing her she was going to hurt herself. After about a year of dating, Stephen couldn’t wait any longer to propose. He informed Kristen’s sister and mom to let them know his previous plan to propose during an upcoming family vacation wasn’t going to happen, but that he was going to ask Kristen that week!

Stephen and Kristen’s intimate wedding party, the warm summer day and well planned wedding made for a fun and memorable wedding day. My favorite part of their day was Stephen’s speech at the wedding reception. I have never heard a more eloquent speech given by the groom during his reception. In his speech, Stephen honored his single father, recognizing the hardships he faced raising two kids following his mother’s passing. He also honored and complimented his new bride, Kristen, the future mother to their kids. By the end of Stephen’s speech, I’m not sure there was a dry eye in the room! Congratulations Stephen and Kristen!!
