To say Alok and Danice planned a perfect weekend wedding celebration would be an understatement. Friday morning Danice and her family hosted a mehndi brunch, where she and several other women had red-orange mehndi applied to their palms and back of hands at Providence Country Club. Saturday’s wedding ceremony at First Baptist Charlotte was followed by a lively reception at the Ritz Carlton in Uptown Charlotte. Surrounded by all their friends and family, Alok and Danice were finally able to call themselves husband and wife after a seven and a half year journey together!

This couple is no stranger to adventure and travel. While attending medical school in Poland, Alok met Danice. Later, while living in Syracuse, New York, Alok attempted several weekend trips away to propose, but the couple kept getting snowed in. Alok finally gave up on planning a trip and proposed in Clinton Square in Syracuse on Danice’s birthday during yet another snow storm!
